jcontrol.exe J2ee Server stopped license check failed

When I start the sapmmc I notice a red on jcontrol.exe and it states that J2ee Server stopped license check failed.

I have searched the forums with similar problems but none has solved my problem. Can somebody give me an easy step by step to fix the problem?

I cannot start J2EE Visual Admin either. When I try to connect and click on Default a pop-up windows comes up stating the following:

Unable to lookup connection default – logon returned empty list of connection parameters.

How can I fix that?

I cannot access the portal at all.
